Larne discover their Champions League fate with a trip to San Marino awaiting. The Co Antrim club have been seeded for the 2026/27 competition and will face Tre Fiori, who won the Campionato Sammarinese for the first time since 2019. Larne have lost three of their four previous Champions League matches, but are hoping to turn their fortunes around with a strong performance against the San Marino side. The first-leg will be played away on July 7/8, before the reverse fixture is hosted in Northern Ireland on July 14/15. Larne have nominated Ballymena Showgrounds as their potential European home, but work to replace their artificial pitch is underway and the club is aiming to complete the works in time for European football to return to Inver Park this summer. Larne created a piece of Irish League history in 2024 by becoming the first Premiership club to qualify for the Conference League, and are hoping to make a similar impact in the Champions League. Gary Haveron's side have secured a few pre-season friendlies, including matches against Connah's Quay and Rangers, and are preparing hard ahead of the European game. Haveron is hoping to create further memories on the continental stage, and believes that Larne's previous runs in Europe should give them the belief to be competitive this summer. However, it all comes down to the luck of the draw, and Larne will need to be at their best to progress in the competition.
