Larne Football Club is delighted to announce its participation in the Get Trained, Save Lives programme, a joint initiative with the European Football Clubs (EFC) and UEFA. The programme aims to equip as many people as possible with life-saving skills, particularly in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. Every day, many people die from sudden cardiac arrest in Europe, and getting medical assistance and starting CPR immediately is crucial. Larne FC will provide valuable resources to its players, staff, and supporters, including access to a free online CPR course, a CPR workshop for the first-team squad, and additional CPR workshops for supporters. Assistant Manager Mick O'Boyle said, 'The get trained save lives programme is a fantastic initiative. CPR is one of those skills that you hope you never have to use but in the unfortunate case where you find someone needing help you want to have the confidence and knowledge to be able to help.' Larne FC wants to train as many people in the club and around the town as possible.
